My desire is to help women realize their inner strength and support their plan as they walk through pregnancy and birth. Birth is a pivotal moment in a woman’s life that will forever be vividly remembered. It impacts us  physically and  psychologically and can be an empowering, enriching event when surrounded by a supportive team.

I create a non-judgmental and safe atmosphere for expecting moms and families to learn the untold options during pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. I have been trained and certified by Childbirth International (CBI), hold a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certificate, and have years of birthing experience, including high-risk and VBAC. This allows me to better assist you through knowledge, training, and real world practices. If this is your first or subsequent birth and you desire an enriching experience, I will be your advocate, supporting your needs and preferences and giving you a strong voice while maximizing the safety of you and your baby. I desire to provide a fulfilling and empowering experience by serving the Metro-Atlanta area in all setting: homes, birth centers, and hospitals.

I live in Woodstock, Georgia with my husband and three girls. I discovered my desire to work and support women by helping with their birth experience shortly after the birth of my first daughter.  Like many other expectant mothers, I went through most of my first pregnancy doing what the doctor told me to do without asking many questions and unaware of the options available during pregnancy and the birth process.  Late in the pregnancy discovered I was not on the same page as my provider, so I sought a new provider and hired a doula!!  I discovered many possibilities and options that were never presented to me by other doctors. I discovered that surrounding myself with a knowledgeable and supportive team could provide me with an enriching birthing experience even when I ultimately had a Cesarean. I went into surgery knowing it was medically necessary rather than a convenience for the hospital.

The second time around, I desired a different birth experience, did research, and hired a Certified Nurse Midwife and doula for a Homebirth after Cesarean (HBAC).  This was beautifully empowering and I had another healthy 7lb 7oz baby girl at home.  Then in 2018, I repeated a similar experience with a Certified Practicing Midwife and doula.  I had a water birth at home and had another healthy 8lb 12oz baby girl. During this time, I studied with Childbirth International (CBI) and became a certified doula. I supported women while pregnant with my third baby girl and continue to do so currently.
